Damianos Photography Custom workshops are a great way to refine your photography process and learn the answers to your specific questions which aren't covered in big group seminars. We offer a variety of classes custom tailored to meet your specific needs, working with all skill levels in a variety of topics from basic camera operation to architectural photography tips and techniques. We ask questions about what you would like to learn and craft a workshop around your needs. A two and one-half hour session for one to four people is $240 and includes instruction and handouts where applicable. Shorter or longer workshops will be pro-rated.

| Photographing your Artwork | |

Concord Art Association Class 1: Learn how to photograph both 2-D and 3-D artwork. Angle of view, lighting, metering, polarizing and appropriate lens type/focal length will be covered. Basic knowledge and familiarity with your camera is required (whether SLR or point-and-shoot). Bring your camera and fresh batteries, manual, and tripod if you have one, plus a 2-D or 3-D work of art to photograph. A handout will be provided. Class 2: You know how to photograph your artwork but the pictures are still on your camera. This course will teach you how to work with the digital images to resize them for competition submission, website portfolio and printing. We will also cover best practices for working with images, creating a workflow, organizing your collection and back up solutions. Topics include use of Photoshop and Bridge. Bring a laptop with your image files (preferred) to work on during class. If you are using a different version of Photoshop/Elements or another editing/catalog software the same concepts can be applied. A handout will be provided.

Read your camera manual thoroughly before the first class. Bring your camera and manual to each class. There will be a photography assignment each week to do on your own that will be used as a learning tool in the following class.
