| NatureScapes and “BuildingScapes” Fine Art Exhibition by Lynne Damianos Currently on display at Damianos Photography These two series of photographs are part of Ms. Damianos’ growing body of personal work NatureScapes of natural subjects and BuildingScapes of the built environment. She loves to photograph details of common subjects in such a way that they become abstract. The basic design elements of the composition may become even more significant than the subject matter itself. Some of the images were photographed on transparency film and then scanned. Some images were captured with a digital camera back on a traditional camera or with a digital camera. The resulting digital files are then printed on 100% cotton watercolor paper or traditional photographic paper. The photographs are signed by the artist and presented in black frames. These and other fine art photographs are available for purchase matted and/or framed. Images are also available as blank greeting cards, individually or in sets. Mastercard, Visa and American Express are accepted. If interested in making a purchase, contact: our Studio Manager at 508.872.4880 or click here. |

| Capturing Architecture
Past & Present Exhibition Opening - “Art Saves Lives” Show Holliston High School Art Gallery 370 Holliston Street Holliston, MA 01746 May 2005 “Capturing Architecture Past and Present” Exhibition in Holliston is the first of two exhibits which showcased the photographs created by Holliston and Framingham High School students with Artist-in-Residence Lynne Damianos as part of a Model Technology Integration Grant made possible by the Massachusetts Department of Education. Twenty-two students in the Holliston fall term Computer Imaging Class, guided by Lynne Damianos and teacher Lisa Bynoe, digitally photographed, retouched and archivally printed both new and historic architecture, inside and out in Holliston. Lynne worked with 22 students in the Framingham Photo III class led by teacher Rebecca Cauchon. Community buildings featured include the Public Library, Town Hall, Historical Society, Schools and Fire Department. The classes enjoyed a hands-on workshop with architect Paul Wolff of Conservation Services Group in preparation for a day-long photographic field trip. Lynne then visited classes once a week to critique student work and demonstrate retouching and perspective control techniques in the computer. The culmination of the term project included an exhibition in the new art gallery in addition to a series of handmade books designed by Framingham artist Leslie Miller that were distributed to various community locations throughout town. Each page of the book features a photograph of the building, a statement by the student and information such as the name of the building, the architect and when it was built. Each community building featured received a book or matted photograph. Lynne is available for lectures about the process that includes registering copyright. Look for a display of the photographs on the Holliston School’s Web page located at www.holliston.k12.ma.us/high/CAPP/Intro.htm. Read more from the Middlesex Beat here.
