ARTIST’S STATEMENT

For her personal work, Lynne Damianos photographs details of common subjects in such a way that they become abstract. The basic design elements of the composition may become even more significant than the subject matter itself. Her subjects revolve around nature – sky, earth, water and snow, in a series titled NatureScapes and details of the built environment titled BuildingScapes.

The photographs are printed in-house on watercolor paper using a high-end ink jet printer and archival inks. The texture and color of the paper helps keep a soft, natural feel to the photographs, while preserving the rich, vibrant colors.
