	ARTIST’S STATEMENT For my personal work, I enjoy photographing details of common subjects in such way that it becomes an abstract. The basic design elements of the composition may become even more significant than the subject matter itself. My original subjects revolve around nature — sky, earth, water and snow, and are part of a traveling exhibition titled NatureScapes. My subject matter now include details of the built environment titled BuildingScapes. Some of these images are photographed on transparency film and scanned. Some are captured with a high-end digital camera. The resulting digital files are then printed in-house on watercolor paper using an ink jet printer and special inks. The texture and color of the paper helps keep a soft, natural feel to the photographs, while preserving the rich, vibrant colors. Feel free to visit our studio weekdays or other times by appointment.
